Gingrich posted an out-of-context quote from a lecture that Sotomayor gave in 2001 on diversity.
Funny how it seems anytime a liberal is called out on thier blatant hypocrisy, its always "taken out of context". Sorry, We are not buying it.

The bold-underlined portion of the quote is where Judge Sotomayor explicitly refutes every single baseless and groundless notion that she is an anti-White-male racist.
"For others, their experiences limit their ability to understand the experiences of others. Other simply do not care. Hence, one must accept the proposition that a difference there will be by the presence of women and people of color on the bench. Personal experiences affect the facts that judges choose to see."

While here she reinforces the apprehension that she is not only limited in her vision, but lacks depth in her assessment of the true nature of educated thought and the judicial temperament, which seeks always to transcend personal experiences and prejudices to seek out and highlight the common interests and aspirations of all of us, regardless of race, creed, or culture.

Yeah, right. Especially the dead ones.

Is that really the best you can do?

If some "White" dude judge with Conservative leanings were to EVER say...."My experiences as a white male in todays world makes me better qualified to make better decisions".........he would be crucified in the "mainstream" media. I can see Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Chuckie Cheese Schumer, Shillary, Nacy Ghulosi, Murtha....I could go on an on...banging their hands on the bully pulpit and screaming out that such a racist with such narrow minded views should NEVER be allowed in such a hallowed circle as the Supreme Court. This is a joke....she seems like a decent lady and her story is "compelling" but since when do we pick Supreme Court justices based on how "compelling" their life is??? What is good for the goose is good for the gander. It is time for the Republicans to grab their cojones and FINALLY stand up and call it like it is. The Dems tortured Alito, Bork, etc, etc, etc, etc...while the Republicans let Bader-Ginsburg on the court without a whimper!!! She is a borderline Communist and in the spirit of "Bi-Partisanship" she was confirmed with nary a cry......Fair is fair.....if a white judge said what she said they would NEVER be confirmed........This is not a racial issue....it is a fact.........

However, many Americans still seem stupid enough to buy it.

I think people seem to be deliberately missing the point or overlooking the fact that white men never HAD to try to make their voices heard...they owned every place...every spot where voices or opinions mattered. For almost 200 years, EVERY elected official in D.C. was a white man. For over 200 years EVERY justice of the supreme court was a white man. Heck...for most of that time women and black people couldn't even vote. Somehow it became accepted "wisdom" that positions of power belonged by natural right to white men and that the suggestion that others might have anything of value to add to nation in a decision making capacity is betlittled by labeling it Affirmative Action and racist or feminist. The ego it takes to believe that is unbelievable.

Blah..Blah..Blah..Blah..Blah......Explain bad behavior from one group and justify it by saying they haven't been heard.....There is NO country like this one in the world...people are killing themselves to get into this country.....how could it be that bad?? I'm tired of being blamed for 200 years ago, 100 years ago, 50 years ago...when are people going to take responsibility for their actions...never as long as apologists like the above can cry that ego makes you bring up valid questions.....
