$24,000 ( the cost to the American people for this cute little Date Night) is an expensive date, even for someone who made over 2 million last year..........that is if America didn't foot the bill for it already.
so you think the pres should hop in a 1989 chevy van and take the mrs on a date night, making their own way to the theater. get real people
No they should hop in a 2010 bullet proof Honda Hybrid along with everyone else in there group. Stay focused. The world is melting if we don't drive Hybrids. CHANGE!! CHANGE!!! GREEN!! GREEN!!
Can you please post Bush's itinerary for his Crawford trips?
It sounds like you were there with him.
I reiterate, this article has many links to Bush's itinerary. Maybe you should read it. But, then again, it will blow your defense of Bush out the window, so perhaps you shouldn't read it.

I don't begrudge Bush his vacations. I actually agree with the statement that America was safer with him out of the Oval Office. But to infer he only took a little time off when he was President, is not only incorrect but ridiculous. For your reading pleasure. They actually cite credible links in this article.

"...The presidential vacation-time record holder is the late Ronald Reagan, who tallied 436 days in his two terms. At 418 days, and with 17 months to go in his presidency, Bush is going to beat that easily."

"On most of the 365 days he has enjoyed at his secluded ranch here, President Bush's idea of paradise is to hop in his white Ford pickup truck in jeans and work boots, drive to a stand of cedars, and whack the trees to the ground," Lisa Rein wrote in the December 31, 2005, Washington Post.

"Heartfelt congratulations to President Bush, who on Friday August 19th breaks Ronald Reagan's all-time record for most vacation days. The old record was 335 days, though Reagan took his sweet time of eight years to accomplish this feat. President Bush did it in nearly half the time. And with another two weeks of [vacation] on tap, he's obviously not content with simply breaking the record, he's going to smoke that record right out of the hole." --The Daily Pick, August 19, 2005.

Well the link no longer is valid. And the source looks questionable at best.
The argument is about what Bush did while at the Ranch. I am not defending him I am just saying you have no clue what time he ate his lunch or had meetings with Condi Rice. Please stop pretending like you have all the facts.
The Oval Office is with the President all the time. The ranch in Crawford was called the "Western White House" for a reason.
In which case, there was absolutely no difference between Obama's trip to NY and Bush's frequent trips to Crawford, Kennebunkport, and other places for pleasure.
Here is an interesting article about various "Western White Houses":
Please stop pretending like you have all the facts.
Ditto!!
The fact that you can't connect to the links does not invalidate them.
