All Presidents are WRONG to ue our taxes for personal use. It doesn't matter if they are Dem or Repub. They are ALL wrong for it. Obama is just showing his hypocrisy with this spending of the money like this anyway. If he truly "felt our pain" then he wouldn't dream of doing such things, but being the politician that he is...he could care less about the people of this country and he shows it all of the time. BTW, you Obama lovers need to tell him to stop making stupid little speeches and just stay at the WH and do some damn work. He loves his damn voice too much.

I'm a Republican and I brought up Bush's travels myself. We're not all one person. I can't believe how many pages this thread actually is, over what is a total non-issue. A trip they had every right to take, and a trip that is over... I thought for sure people would have moved on from it by now.

Well, you would think that it's a non-issue to intelligent people but the Repubs have nothing concrete or meaningful and can't handle deeper issues so attack Obama's trips, Obama not wearing a jacket in the Oval Office, using a teleprompter(one repub poster went on for days laughing over the use of a teleprompter), Michelle wearing sleeveless dresses, going on forever about Obama saying 57 states instead of 50,etc.

Do you STILL want to be a member of a party whose members are that shallow and stupid? Why don't you join the thousands who are leaving that POP...Party of the Past???

Default Obama's $24,000 date paid for by taxpayers.

"Taxpayers footed the bill for the big night on the town, which included a total of at least $24,000 for the three aircraft used to ferry the Obamas, aides and reporters to New York and back. Dinner costs and orchestra seat tickets -- at $96.50 apiece -- were paid by the Obamas."

REF: OBAMA KEEPS HIS BIG APPLE PLEDGE - New York Post

Why the heck must we foot the bill for this crap?! We also paid for his $328,835 photo-op flyover over NYC.

Am I the only one nauseated by this spending? Obama, Pelosi and the rest all talk about how we need to tighten our belts and learn to live with less while Obama goes on $24,000 dates with his wife and Pelosi flies to Europe like a big shot on taxpayer expense.

How about not go on a $24,000 date unless you plan on paying for it yourself?

Traveling to Camp David = acceptable
Concert, dining, etc = not acceptable

In the end, he's still a public servant.

And who paid for Bush to be on holiday for 1/3 of his terms?
Who paid for the flights? The secret service?

You're right. He travels the world to speak with diplomats and can go to Camp David. He does not have the right to entertainment (aka concert tickets) courtesy of taxpayers. He can pay for it out of his millions just like ex-presidents did.

Strawman argument successfully retorted
