The majority of police officers go out bust their a** to do their job and get home safe. You have a few who go over the top and the news media runs with it and the public gets the image that it's the police in general. It's pretty simple in that you see a negative police story alot and aired over and over, as opposed to a police officer saving some one. Then you have people attacking police for making snap decisions when they have days and more evidence than the officer had. People who say how could you shot a man when it was a phone and not a gun. Well when your a cop who has pulled over a felon who pulls a shiny object out of his pocket you would be quick to draw on the suspect as well. The majority of the public is ignorant to what police officers go through. I see it from the military side. We have people who have never served come in and tell me, who has been deployed to Iraq, how we should have been more tolerant during a firefight. They have the luxury of time when your in a fight and your life as well as your brothers life is on the line you don't have that. You do what you can to keep your a** and your brothers alive and able to get home.
