When 9-11 happened we wanted somebody to pay with their blood. (me included) Unfortunately we overreacted and attacked Iraq.

Overreaction to say the least....

It was such an overreaction that Congress didn't even bother to read the intelligence reports. (Do they read anything??) What responsible leadership we have. Even Hillary was in favor of going in.

But you have to see the selectivity in going into Iraq.... Look at all the injustices going on to innocent people the world over..The United States can never correct that through force - never - it is an ideal - but not reality and it is a challenge that can never be met through bombs and occupational forces.

Exactly and with all the energy invested in Iraq - if that had of been invested into the pashtun region - Bin Laden (responsible for 9/11) might have been the one hanging in 2006 and not Hussein (not responsible for 9/11)..

While I can agree that no action would have been foolish, we have to start accepting the fact that military might isn't going to answer this one. It's going to cost a lot more lives and money than asking why we can't all get along.

Being greedy and having one's hand out is what got dumbo elected, and now he is speeding us all towards ruin with his ignorance...
..and like a good demo, you continue to follow his lead...
How has it been necessary? We have lost more soldiers than lives on 9/11, have war in two countries, killed more than a million innocent civilians, and spent more money than we have. Al- quida is still hangin' out, still no OBL and they still don't like us.

As far as his moves being spot on, his own father George the 1st openly said that it would be a bad idea to go into Iraq.

you have missed the point.

Don't you realize that Saddam is just one of the issues which were in our face.

If we didn't go nose to nose with him - why would a thug with no country take us serious?

Have you forgotten:
  • how MANY battles we had with Al-Qaeda in Iraq? (not on our soil)
  • what about the bunch of suit cases of American CASH which Saddam had?
He was offered asylum in Libya - he just flat out dared us to attack.
  • he also killed tribesmen in the south (not just the Kurds in the north)
  • for someone who had no WMD - why did he refuse to just show that he got rid of them? (or were they actually buried somewhere so he was NOT able to provide evidence that they were disposed of?) For cripes sake - I could EASILY hide a 55gal barrel within 1 mile radius of my home and you would NEVER find it and this isn't the desert with sand storms to hide any excavations!

Battles with Al-Qaeda in Iraq before or after invasion - i think after Iraq was occupied and it became a haven for guerilla resistance...anyway- the focus should have been on Pashtun - NOT Iraq
