I love how apologists say "it was a metaphor". As if they are speaking for the retard himself. When he goes on public television and says it was a metaphor, I'll believe it.
Was this really worth posting? Everyone knows that Obama is not God. I'd sooner believe he was the anti-christ.
I think everyone pretty much knows that it's a metaphor.... although he really doesn't deserve that. What has he done besides raise cigarette prices and try to be best buds with the terrorists??

It's also pretty pathetic that a couple of posters here are trying to draw a parallel between Bush calling himself the decider (he decides what to do like any executive) and Soetoro being proclaimed as a god. You know what type see nothing wrong with holding politicians up as deities? The same kind of people who viewed their leaders as deities in Italy and Germany in the 1930s and 40s, China in the 50s and 60s, Cambodia in the 70s, and North Korea today. It is truly frightening when a nation's leader is presented as a deity and the response from so many people is "yeah, and your point is?"

I agree that the "decider" argument is weak. He is/was the decider.
It's also weak to take metaphors literally in an attempt to validate personal attacks.
The Newsweek guy is hogging all the kool aid right now. I'll let you know when he's done so you can have a glass
I don't like kool aid. But I do like beer http://www.wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/shrug.gif (broken link)
