How is this distasteful is it not true. Your brain gets to a point of not being right and making serious important decisions will have a skewed view on them if they even fully understand the topic at all. He is also a alcoholic which again affects brain performance.

You do not know a flippin' thing about his medical history or prognosis, or capabilities.

Guess we remeber different things.
And to show my view on this is non partisan, people have questioned whether President Reagan had possibly started to show the signs of Alzheimer's that progressed after his leaving the office. I don't think we were fully informed of that either.

I did a search and there were some threads about McCrazy. I'm not crazy (no pun intended) about names like that, but the same ones who object to that probably call Obama "BamBam", NObama, and the like.
I think it is probably true that Reagan was developing Alzheimers during his presidency. Just like Kennedy had Addison's disease, Eisenhower's heart attack was worse than the press was told, FDR was in a wheelchair (which most people did not know), etc. But that still doesn't prove that Ted Kennedy is mentally compromised b/c of is brain cancer. And since we don't know the extent, if any, of his mental incapacity, it is distasteful.
