Uh-huh. Can't wait til he tries to ram UHC and Cap&Trade down our throats.
Yes, people have short memories, some seem to have forgotten what RR left us, a mess and a mountain of debt, Bush Sr did not do so well either, "it is the economy stupid", and let us not forget Bush Jr that borrowed us into the poorhouse with the Chinese, spent money like a drunken salior (no offense meant to any saliors out there) and did nothing about any of the major domestic isses facing this nation. THOSE Republicans the ones people now trust? LOL. Now if you have some real Conservatives, you know REAL Republicans, let me know and we will see what they have to say on how they would fix the issues. Funny thing, I cannot remember any of the candidates saying anything along those lines except to back exactly what Bush was doing before he left, and what Obama is still doing. Hmmmm. Maybe they would have done better in the elections if they knew the answers had bothered to shared them with the voters.

He's a likable guy, but he is sucking hind-t*t when it comes to the budget and spending.
If Gallup is admitting this, it must be even worse than we think. Finger on the scale and all that.
So a 55% approval rating is bad? That's great in this microwave society. People on average want immediate results on complex problems while deranged wingnuts look for anything as a sign of failure, like a 55% economic approval rating. Obama had 53% of the national vote on 11/4/2008, so he has more people in favor of his handling of the economy than those that voted for him. Not bad.

Some seems to forget that democrats had majority the past couple years.
Obama is borrowing us into the poor house worse then Bush ever did.

That use of "majority " is loose to the point of coming unravelled. That tiny majority was not enough to push through any legislation or block anything.
Mostly because some people won't take the time to try and understand anything.
They act like you, screaming about things you are clueless about.
Most people are not as deluded with visions of the messiah dancing in their heads. The polls are reflecting his absolute mishandling, incompetence and cluelessness when it comes to the budget and deficit spending.
Obamatrons are quick to dismiss those who once supported him but not longer as ignorant simpletons.
