I have called and e mailed several times and I always get a canned response
John Lewis is mine and I have always liked him, now, not so much
when I give a call to his office and I disagree with what the dems are doing, I get a very chilly
voice on the other end.

I used to email my reps all the time but now I call and let them know how I want them to vote on a particular bill.
I have sent a fax a few times.
The emails always have a canned response and the one time I sent a face to Vic Snyder, he actually sent me an individualized email in response.
