Wow. Well let me ask you this: If you have a fairly typical American lifestyle--a job, a family, relatives, friends, and acquaintances, let's say you know about 100 people pretty well.
How many, out of this 100:
Are actively looking for a "free ride"
Have sued someone else frivolously?
Frequently accuse others of racism in order to get something?
If that number is less than 5 out of 100, I would gently suggest that you may be overblowing a "feeling" you have about "society" (all those strangers out there you DON'T know) that really is just a fantasy fueled by the Internet and the media.
We have a winner.
Speaking of free rides. Last I checked (a few weeks ago), the number of people on TANF (welfare) has been about 5 million. More than half that number are children. So, we have 2/3 of 1 out of 100 looking for a free ride. Very insignificant. But to listen to some righties, it's the welfare queens that are destroying the country and its economy.
What in the world has happened to our society? We as a society have lost so much over the recent years. Common sense is lost and has now become "uncommon sense", our children are fat and lazy, We no longer have values, honor and trustworthiness. Everyone is only out for themselves anyway they can get it even if it means trampling your rights and freedoms. Somehow the nation has this kooky idea that America should be a socialist country. Somehow the even kookier idea came up that we have to apologize to the rest of the world for being America. What the heck has happened? My opinion is that our schools and universities have indoctrinated all of this into our youth. America is chaning for the worse and nobody realistic can argue that. We are going to be bankrupt, super high inflation and taxed to death. The dollar is not going to be worth anything in a few short years. We are ALL going to suffer if things are not moved away from our current path. Can't anyone else see all of this? Our nation is being divided by people who dislike America for what it stood for and why it was founded...I find this all very sad and sickening, "we the people" need to stop this path of destruction for America.
Americans have become Lazy. We expect evrything NOW and have thrown out the idea of Personal Responsibility and believe in the end justifies the means.
