Is it true that there is a Czar czar position being consdered to help keep track of the czars?
Maybe you misheard. It could be a Bar Czar for when the government decides to take control of drinking establishments. Oh no, you at Table 6 - you can only have a lite beer and carrot sticks. Now get up and dance. Work it, work it! I'm thinking millions of new government jobs here that they can take credit for including the federal eating and drinking police. (Psst - meet me in the restroom and we can do a little Cheetos partying.)
Obama's czars are a means to circumvent the oversight and authority role of congress.
The "czar" title is not official, it is a convenient handle for media to describe various Presidential appointees. I think any rational discussion on this topic requires a definition of "czar" that is consistent and reasonable, so that we don't just willy-nilly label any Presidential appointee a "czar" regardless of their responsibilities. Right now, the vagueness of the term serves people attacking the Obama administration. But it doesn't serve people who are trying to seriously understand the issues.

DC, Do you have a good definition of "czar" and the motives behind Obama to use them?

You have no one to blame but Obama for the use of this term. It is a politically stupid term to give to your advisors and oversight officials.

No, I just think that we need to have one in order to discuss this. I'm not challenging sanrene, I'm seeking to understand her argument. And a standard definition of "czar" would be basic to such a discussion, don't you think?

I agree with cleanhouse. No one has problems with Obama needing advisors, and oversight of programs are a good thing.
There seems to be a sense of vagueness of how much power these "czars" have.
Would be nice if the WH would clear this up.
