I don't understand what took them that long, fission bombs aren't exactly the pinicle of human innovation, you get enough material together and you can't stop it from exploding. Couple of regular geniuses.......

There's not much which can be done about it. We're too militarily and economically weak to invade and occupy them and, with two wars already going on, too politically divided to start another one.
Some would say, "Let the Israeli's handle it." Yeah...if you really WANT to see WWIII!
Best course right now? Just what Obama proposes to do: Talk. It's about all we've got for the moment. That and apply pressure on the Russian's to quit aiding and abetting them, but that would require us to give them something in return, something they really, really want (See: Georgia, Ukraine or Iraq). Dealing with the Chinese will be somewhat harder as they hold the keys to our economy in their grubby little hands, thanks to our nations policies for the past 20 years. And, they are Iran's single largest buyer of oil.
The real key to Iran is Europe and, specifically, the French. Unfortunately, we're not very highly thought of over there and they have a different agenda which they will pursue, whether we like it or not.
Bottom line? Look for nuclear war in the not too distant future.

two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research programme in 2003 because of the threat from the American invasion of Iraq. But intelligence sources have told The Times that Tehran had halted the research because it had achieved its aim — to find a way of detonating a warhead that could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles.
iran has the right to defend itself whether that means using superior weapons than its enemy and also have a right to secure irans own interest. oh and btw i hope the country isreal goes back to what it was waay before 1948 maybe the world will be much better
