Here is the story from my neck of the woods; forgot to post it earlier. The irony in all this is that there are yard signs around the thumb of Michigan stating to "help fight for freedom for Larry Wilcox" (paraphrasing) -- The County Press (http://www.countypress.com/stories/051009/loc_20090510103.shtml - broken link)
A snippet -- Wilcox has had previous altercations with police and the Department of Environmental Quality. State authorities launched a pre-dawn raid on his company Midway Disposal May 2002 for his refusal to allow authorities on site. According to the DEQ, the company allegedly serves as the headquarters for a self-described militia group, and 61 officers and staff from the DEQ, DNR and state police were on hand.
So is this what the misguided right has come to nowadays?
