I would say our current immigration policies do not benefit us. I think Democrats and Republicans tend to agree on that.

My insurance carrier, unless it is time critical, will saddle up a med-flight with EMS attendant to get my azz home to Canada, why you ask, because it will likely be cheaper, flight included, to get my treatment at home than venture through the front doors of any hospital down there.

From the looks of things, it takes the worst of both worlds and at the end of the day, Anti-UHC can point their fingers and say: 'See, it doesn't work.' The most expensive version of healthcare you can imagine doesn't work. What a surprise.
You are really fugged up on that one. Canada takes in more per-capita immigrants, and has since 2007, than the U.S. and the waiting list is loooong.
Per capita -- but not nearly the millions that are coming here. Your per-capita is very small. Ours is huge.
Why wouldn't the millions coming here go to Canada instead of coming here if the system there is so great?
