I would say our current immigration policies do not benefit us. I think Democrats and Republicans tend to agree on that.

That's a pretty small nail there friend.

Canada vs. US Health Care Systems - Debunking Canadian Health Care Myths - AARP

It's a less than one half of a one percent nail to be precise.

Snowbrids are elderly and they get sick, should they all trek back home to get fixed up or perhaps get authorization to have the care provided right there.

My insurance carrier, unless it is time critical, will saddle up a med-flight with EMS attendant to get my azz home to Canada, why you ask, because it will likely be cheaper, flight included, to get my treatment at home than venture through the front doors of any hospital down there.

True.
Obama has done nothing to change the healthcare system what so ever.

He wanted single-payer, but ended up throwing a bone, and a rather large one at that, to the insurance companies.
Thanks, Republicans!

What's wrong with insurance companies? I loathe Obamacare, but not because of the individual mandate. I despise Obamacare because it does nothing to address the cost of healthcare.

So let me get this clear:

You are thanking Republicans for the structure of a bill which Every. Single. Republican. voted against.

From the looks of things, it takes the worst of both worlds and at the end of the day, Anti-UHC can point their fingers and say: 'See, it doesn't work.' The most expensive version of healthcare you can imagine doesn't work. What a surprise.

She's being sarcastic. They were as much a cause of this ****ty version of UHC you have as Obama is.

Per capita -- but not nearly the millions that are coming here. Your per-capita is very small. Ours is huge.

Why wouldn't the millions coming here go to Canada instead of coming here if the system there is so great?
