And I'm sure they all do own their taxes using Turbo-Tax
..........doesn't everybody who has assets of a million or more.
Yup, they run right on down to their local Wal-mart and buy a copy and dig in.
I dont think so.
Most have
CPA's and accountants doing their taxes.....
Daschle and Geithner
The Geithner situation was way overblown.
It's because the taxes that everyone talked about were required of him to cover his employees, something he didn't know about when he was supposed to pay them. So they contacted him, and he paid those taxes. That's not tax evasion.
The taxes the Daschle "dodged" were literally paying medicare on a car he didn't pay for and its driver,
which doesn't even make sense because he never owned either of them.
That's why most people didn't care and why that should not have been an issue at all.
Isn't it interesting, though, that when we look at the top 10 richest people in the U.S., they're paying, on average, 17% taxes, whereas the rest of us are paying more than double that?
Or how about how many corporations the country over don't pay taxes at all?
Don't you think something should be done about them?
Oh, and these people just might happen to be Republicans.
Just for the record, an estimated 10 million individuals and businesses fail to file returns each year according to U.S. Treasury statistics.
