Idaho resident Challiss McAffee (http://www.restoretherepublic.net/profile.php?user=challism - broken link) has been “charged with felony aggravated assault (http://www.idahostatesman.com/westada/story/871165.html - broken link) after police say he pulled a handgun on a resident whose home he told police he was photographing as part of a foreclosure investigation.” When the resident began questioning McAffee about what he was doing, the confrontation escalated, culminating in McAffee brandishing his gun. McAffee is a member of the Ada County Republican Central Committee and “one of 231 voting members of the state Republican Central Committee (http://www.ktvb.com/news/localnews/stories/ktvba-aug2009-gop_leader_arrest.fcea3fb6.html - broken link).”

Gee, who would have thought a nut with a gun and a temper could cause a problem??
Police say McAffee was shooting photographs at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the home - in the 2200 block of Ditch Creek Street, near the Chinden Boulevard/Linder Road neighborhood - when a resident came outside and began questioning what McAffee was doing.

A verbal argument ensued which ended when the resident said McAffee pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the resident, police say. McAffee is a member of the Ada County Republican Central Committee. The charge of felony aggravated assault is punishable by up to five years in prison.

And this why you don't carry a gun to an event where emotions run high. It is bad enough when people fight each other over a loss of temper, but to have someone killed over this, is it worth it? Yes, i know he did not kill him, but is that what it is going to take for people to wake up and realize this is not the way to enter a debate?

The public display of firearms, something we see in places like Gaza and Lebanon, comes to America. Thank God for the Tea Bag Birthers, they have finally brought the nation to it's new style of leadership. Take heed. Instead of a nation compassionate to it's poor and sick, we now see the kind of nation these nut cases want: Bosnia.
