My comment was in response to the poster that stated they were "highly educated".
I feel sorry for the female children. They're forced to be pretty much minihousewives from an early age, and the father has stated he doesn't want them to attend college... unless it's to become a nurse.
Yes have to agree with you about the female children. How nice of the father to pick their career for them. The man is living somewhere in the dark ages with that attitude.

He said that? I'm not surprised in the least. Ever notice you NEVER see any friends? Ever, they have no friends other than their siblings. And each one of those kids will most likely follow suit & have 19 kids...EACH. Oh jesus, just the thought of it makes me want to throw up.
Obviously, these clowns are adherents of the so-called quiverfull movement which is the evango-fascist complement to the islamo-fascist efforts to "birth" their way into numerical supremacy (over many years) in order to take over a country via sheer numbers of voters. Such people are bizarre to say the least. It won't work.
I never understood that mentality, especially considering 69%-88% of evangelical children leave the Church after high school.
Oh well if 19 children is what they want and they can afford it why not I guess.
Why do people care? They're not on welfare, and their children aren't running wild in the streets, breaking any laws.
I find them a lot more responsible than the tons of people I know who have 2-3 kids, are on welfare, and their children are mini-felons and terrorists in the making.

I feel sorry for them all. The kids never get that 1 on 1 attention from their parents that most kids get (and want). They don't seem to have any friends outside of the family. They don't seem to be involved in any activities outside the house (like girl scouts or softball). It's like they're not getting a chance to grow up.
I don't see how they ever plan to enjoy just being married if they keep having kids. Do they not have dreams of vacationing alone or just spending time alone? Maybe they do go off by themselves and it's just not part of the tv show.

Uh, maybe you didn't know this, but the Duggar kids are ON tv.
Have you never heard someone say the phrase "they should buy a t.v." when someone has a bunch of kids ? ? It is a joke...a joke...a joke...Yes I noted the part about the Reality show. Obviously you don't understand the phrase being a joke ? Even though you weren't addressing me in your last post..you seem to want to contradict others in a simple thread about opinions. Go figure

Maybe the poster you responded to may not know these folks directly but the point is still valid. Why criticize this family for the simple act of having 19 children if they are properly taking care of these kids. To each his own.
