Again, there is no actual definition of "czar". It is a media word. The "Drug Czar" for instance is traditionally whoever happens to be the Administrator of DEA. That position requires Senate confirmation. There are in fact more than 500 positions appointed by the President that require Senate confirmation. None of this is new.

No wonder at all, once you take some people's lack of intelligence and initiative into account. Did these people all just fall off the back of a turnip truck? Where have they been for the decades over which all this has been a perfectly common and unremarkable practice?

It's gotten worse though over the years and administrations.
If the President's Cabinet isn't good enough then that should be changed, not the addition of all these "advisors" that only report to the President and have no accountability to Congress.

America is swinging to the left big time. We'll have to see how this plays out and if we can get back to the middle in 2012. Not much anyone can do though. The President has been elected and these advisors cannot be fired by anyone but Obama himself.

Look it up. ALL of the executive branch is and always has been responsible to the President. Congress must confirm more than 500 of the top executive appointments. It does not review the rest, but can request or subpoena their testimony at any time. I don't know where you are getting your information, but it is not very thorough or reliable.

If that is so, the fund needs to be taken away. I hope it is done while we still have a free country. Congress START doing your jobs. We need some investigations going on and an impeachment procedure in place. Our president needs to be somebody who upholds the constitution and does not work to destroy our freedoms.

The advisors to Obama do not have to answer to Congress and can invoke Executive Privilege. Obama himself did not like that Bush had so many czars.

"The biggest problems that we're facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that's what I intend to reverse when I'm president of the United States." -- Sen. Barack Obama, March 31, 2008

Jones is 100 times the man that Beck is.

If you are caucasion, you may want to reconsider that. Jones is an abject racist who has stated publically that white people are dumping garbage and pollution in black neighborhoods in an effort to eliminate blacks. He is a complete nutjob and makes Glen Beck look normal (not a Beck fan).
