Does the common 18 year old have the education, experience, clarity and life experience in making a decision to know who is best for the job that will affect the country and voting state directly?Do you think the younger voters of today are too easily influenced by political candidates personality and charisma rather than experience, intelligence and ability to lead in a positive and smart way by making better decisions that inspire confidence and optimism not based on personality and looks but wisdom and true leadership? It seems some voters appear to be cheerleaders who dont have the insight to know what may be the best decision and are too easily misguided.

Old enough to die for your country, Old enough to vote.

I think there are 50 year olds that aren't mature or wise enough to vote.

Some aren't wise enough when they are 50.

Oh. You didn't know that females can die for their country, too?

As if people's votes meant a hill of beans. Democracy is dead in this country until the public can actually put people into office who don't belong to the two zoo animal parties.

Are most politically astute enough to vote intelligently?
Probably not.
But neither are many much older.

No. Talk to most any 18 year old for a minute and you will find quickly that they should not vote. My 18 year old is a straight A student and had high ACT scores. She is smart, but tend to just repeat my political views. I think that people need to mature a bit and find thier own way through further life experiences.
