You're right, he did cast only himself in a poor light. I would expect if a dem did this to a republican president that he would be rightfully chastised by people in his own party & he would then follow-up w/a heart-felt apology. I'm not sure how heart-felt this guy's apology will be, but regardless at least he's doing it.
I don't know why he was apologising when it's true. No one seems to be standing up to this commie scumbag. The bill isn't DESIGNED to cover illegals, that doesn't mean it won't. We can't even get police and schools to ask people's citizenship status without being called "racist", what makes you think that it'll happen with health care? Democrats have consistently, over and over, rejected amendments that would require verification of legal immigrations status. Why? Because they are liars, that's why. With control of the house, the senate, and the presidency I don't see why they still feel the need to lie.

Wilson made an @ss of himself, his party and his state while the President was speaking about something of National importance to both Chambers of Congress, the American people and the World. Rangel has personal tax issues.
All I know is that Nancy Pelosi looked like Sister Mary Ignatius ready to launch a laser guided ruler of mass destruction! If this dimwit didn't apologize immediately, make a infinite number of acts of contrition, along with a boat load of Hale Mary's he's going to find his office reduced to the size of a page boy's closet.
And he still might risk facing a Congressional reprimand.

It's not a universal heath care proposal. It's a public option proposal. You still have to pay premiums to get covered.
