Do you trust the same government that has refused to enforce our immigration laws and border security for the last 50 years is now going to deny Obamacare to illegals? In order for a verification plan to work, you have to have people committed to actually enforcing it. Our government has no more commitment to that than they do to securing our borders and Obama knows this, which is why that congressman was right. Obama is lying about this. He is a smart guy and he knows these verification procedures either won't work or won't be enforced.
The WH said they changed some wording on one of their versions of the bill to only allow people with SS cards to buy into the insurance pool. From the article though, they didn't exactly say "US citizen".
Based on that loose wording and the type of document required (SS is not supposed to be a form of identity and surely not proof of citizenship) I'm very very skeptical of them truly not letting illegals buy into this healthcare plan.

As far as I know, many illegals pay into SS (not those paid in cash) but can't collect later.
Whatever checking they do for SS.... couldn't they do for health care?
