If Al Gore was President, he would have left office 8 months before this thread started , would have governed over the 2005 hurricane season which had the most hurricanes in recorded history , and been in Office while 7 of the 10 costliest hurricanes of all time made landfall in the US.

If Gore were president, he would have been impeached after 9-11.

The statistical peak of the Atlantic hurricane season has arrived and for the first time since 1992 there isn’t a named storm in the basin.

While forecasters are watching a pair of potential systems, neither is likely to grow into a tropical storm by the end of today. So far, four storms have gotten names in the Atlantic this year.

Your link is talking about one specific day. Does it really matter if there is no named storm on a specific day. in 1992, Hurricane Andrew destroyed Miami, and yet that specific year is used as a benchmark for that moronic article.

Heck, for all they no, the 2 potential storms they are watching could both end up being Cat 5 that slam florida. Does the fact that they didnt have a name on Sept 10th going to matter to anyone if they make landfall ?

If Gore was president, we have no idea if 9-11 would have even happened. Maybe he listens to the CIA and FBI,and military intelligence and takes action before hand.

Well, that's fair. He probably wouldn't have taken the memo warning of an attack and swished it into the wastebasket.

On average there are about 70 to 110 named tropical cyclones per year across the world, including about 40 to 60 that reach hurricane strength. This range has held remarkably steady within the last 40 years. Within each basin, the numbers often vary more dramatically than the global average. https://www2.ucar.edu/news/backgroun...hoons-cyclones
