How's the "change" working?
Just a reminder of obama's claims;
In November/December 2008 : the USA last1.1 million jobs
December 2008 was the worst month for joblosses in US history when it lost 500,000 jobs in one month.
We've lost close to 3 million since his inception, or is it 2 million. Oh, who's counting?
Maybe the people who "counted" 1.2 million at the 912DC rally? More people attended Marian Anderson's concert at the Lincoln Memorial than attended 912DC, and the concert was in 1939...
So how is that stimulus recovery plan working out?
Remember how the Obama administration said that if we didn't pass their stimulus recovery plan then the official unemployment rate could get as high as 9%!?
Well, new unemployment statistics have just been released and they aren't pretty.
That chart in the OP? Take out the dots, which represent the actual UE numbers, everything else is from Obama and his "uniquely qualified" team. We are far, far beyond what he claimed - in fact, we are worse off what he claimed we would be WITH the stimulus than without. You can spin it all you like. You must remember them pulling out this chart as a way to sell the stimulus?
For the eleventy-seventh time -- that you will ignore like each of the other eleventy-six -- the chart is taken from a report that projects the unemployment rate with and without a stimulus package of the sort that was then being proposed. The report showed that unemployment would peak earlier and at a lower level with the stimulus package than without. That comparison was the point of the report. The scale that appears at the left edge of the graph was driven by the levels in the data available at the time the projections in the report were done, and that scale is the same scale that appeared in projections done by other competent analysts at the time.
Again, projections are neither meant nor usable as predictions, and there was no promise made whatsoever that unemployment would not rise above 8% or any other level if only the stimulus bill were passed. The reality counterfeiters simply made that up.
Wait for it. Democrats will come and tell us its all Bushs fault. Obama is new to washington he played no role in whats happening now. Everything is the fault of republicans. Ignore though democrats had have majority at the end of Bush being president

The opening sentence to the stimulus bill reads as follows: "Making supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and State and local fiscal stabilization, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2009, and for other purposes."
