Who the heck listens to Jesse Jackson about anything?
Jackson is a politician who never held office and a preacher without a church. He has no credibility with anyone I know, liberal or conservative. He's even less believable than Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck.
If you want controversy, you need a better subject to fight over. Jackson won't do it.
As usual Jackson has his facts wrong. The kyoto Accords were signed--by no less than Al Gore on behalf of the U.S. But Clinton did not submit the treaty for Senate ratification because he knew it would never receive the necessary votes for passage. Neither did Bush submit it, nor has Obama, for that matter.
But it is Bush's fault. He poisoned our name around the world, America is a pariah for the Iraq war. Mostly though, it simply was overdue that a South American city finally be awarded the games, which have never before been held in South America. We've had them several times. Let Rio have a ball. I give Obama high marks for being our national cheerleader and standing up for his hometown and our nation. Bush would've ignored it like he did everything else (besides his oil pals raiding the U.S. Treasury).

And oh ya, it's Bushes fault I had a flat on my car yesterday. We should try him for crimes against humanity.

Does the fact that Madrid lost out mean there is a grudge against Spain as well??
I really REALLY am tired of Jesse Jackson and wish nobody would give him a public voice anymore.
Titanic failure? Seriously? You all have one loss to point to about Obama and you're turning it into the watershed moment his presidency collapsed?
I guess all the other presidents at that same IOC meeting should throw the towel in as well, huh? God forbid a president tries to secure an event that brings thousands of visitors, international attention, and jobs to a struggling industrial region of the country.
You knew some jackanapes would rise to occassion and blame Bush for Obama's olympic failure. Leave it to Rev Jackson to carry the fire.
Rev Jackson disappointed in Chicago's Olympic loss
CHICAGO (AP) — The Rev. Jesse Jackson says he's "truly disappointed" in Chicago's Olympic loss...
...he believes that the Bush administration had poor relations with the IOC and remnants of that era remain.
"There must be" resentment against America, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, near the stage where he had hoped to give a victory speech in Daley Center Plaza. "The way we [refused to sign] the Kyoto Treaty"...
The narrative is tired - It's Bushes fault! That's like me going about life and blaming my parents for all my failures. Move on and become accountable Obama - you're party has controlled the house and senate for how long?
It is so predictable and dumb to blame everything on Bush....under Bush Chicago was nominated!, do they want to blame him for that too...

I disagree. In case you hadn't noticed the BRIC's are taking their place in the world. Europe and America are old, tired, broke news.

And every other President before him. Obama was the first standing President to go and pitch the US.
