Seeing what greed and capitalism has done to this nation and how the nature of community values have been obliterated by the almighty dollar I have found the goal of creating a micronation to be a key for finding like minded individuals who are looking to create a community where loyalty, honor and faith lead a community of equality and cooperation and where culture and education are paramount in building an independant and sustainable society.

If anyone else is interested in these goals I invite them to discuss it or to join The Socialist Republic of Zandrovia as they are currently seeking more dedicated citizens with a goal of creating such a community.

Or for the monarchists among you, there is an opening at the top: the King of Redonda passed away Sept. 1.

Do Citizens Have to Pay Taxes?

Not exactly. At this point, citizens pay taxes on a voluntary basis....

... Because we place such a high emphasis on community service, the arts, education, creativity, and spirituality we tend to attract writers, artists, gamers, poets, musicians,....
I can finally get paid for all of the "deep thinking" that I do. Goodbye corporate job!! Woooot!!!!!

Personally I thought the idea of community values and supporting thinking (something woefully lacking today) and sustainability were more important that the tax issue.

People are too obsessed with money.

Will I have to purchase food? Clothing? Housing? Utilites?Internet connection? Car? Porn?

Will I have to pay for my vacations and travel?

Trust me, afters years of working to increase my salary to provide, quite well to tell the truth, for me and my family, I'm open to new ways of accomplishing that.

I quickly looked at the site, but I'd like to know where it is where is it exactly. Territory wise.

I suppose that if you had more of a creative nature, you might be more interested. Like seeks like.

Keep in mind that things will be slightly different in the very beginning until the community gets started and the community will share equally in the burden and the benefits of keeping the community going.

As far as the individual items you mentioned...Food-the goal is to produce the majority of the food onsite as to make the community self sustaining. Building the community early own means people will have to find ways to raise the funds but the hope is that cooperatively this will cut down beginning costs for everyone and once established things like housing and food are standards rights of citizenship since every citizen will be working equally for the community. Since the citizens vote on the budget directly each year, they will have a say over how the funds are spent.

The important point is that they will not be supporting anything that exploits others, for any purpose. The goal is to build a cooperative community that helps each individual reach their full potential.

From their Guiding Principles:

6. Justice- With the acknowledgment that no nation can exist in civility and prosperity without the principle of justice we shall each, as a people and a nation, live by a code of law which shall be intrinsically tied to the moral code given by our creator; our code of law shall endeavor to protect the rights of the innocent and to fairly and humanely punish the guilty with all fairness and due process.

A socialist republic referencing the moral code of a God? Fun times ahead in the Supreme Court of SRZ.
