That word, racist, gets thrown around so much in here I believe everyone is tired of hearing it.

Lost its power, it seems.

It's still a conversation ender. That is to say, it ends the intelligent part of the conversation.

The intelligent part of the conversation...I like that. Especially when it gets to the point that white people are accusing other white people of being racist if they don't agree with their particular point of view. That's a head-scratcher.

You would think but yet people on here start threads about it every day...I'm pretty sure one has been or will shortly be created today.

The popularity of this tactic coincides with the failure of Obama's policies by no coincidence.

I think the issue is more the use of the race card when liberals are unable to defend Obama's failures with logical arguments.

I've seen the race card thrown from the other side more but I guess it's supposed to be like a preemptive strike – ha I played the race card first so now you can’t –either way I don’t buy into it.

How could you defend a failure logically if it is already a failure?

The problem you're describing isn't race its overgeneralizing.

Yeah, you have to admit there are racists everywhere. Even among the right. No one is a calling you a racist for disagreeing right?

Hell, I'm racist sometimes but it sure isn't out of hate. I don't see how one can talk about race and the idiosyncratic behaviors of others without being called racist.

However there are certain people who are generally racists, of all ethnicities and they do it out of superiority and hate. From the KKK to militant factions of groups like La Raza.

What we need is not a dialog about race but how we can actually talk about issues without it and stick to facts and actually debate policy.
