Anyone know who nominated Obama?
There were 205 nominees, but the lists are held secret for 50 years.

Afghanistan's Taliban mocked the award, saying it was absurd to give it to Obama when he had ordered 21,000 extra troops to Afghanistan this year.

Now you're going to put any type of merit into what the taliban has to say? Good lord.

So basically this is saying you would be agreeing with the Taliban if you are against Obama getting this award.

Carter won one. Gore won one. Now, Obama.
I guess the Righties (and anti-Obama crowd) don't approve because the Nobel committee usually doesn't hand out awards to greedy capitalists and war-mongers.
But how about that for an idea...establish an institution that awards corporations that do the best to exploit workers and another award for the best job of war-mongering. Nobel prizes also go for literature and to various scientists. How about an award for the best efforts at anti-intellectualism?

Hmmm. Your take on Le Duc Tho of North Vietnam, a 1973 winner?

My points were that your "two weeks" complaint was pointless and that your supposed personal chronology of loss of respect for the Nobel Peace Prize was out of order by many years.

Are you telling us that you stopped reading newspapers after January 19 of this year, or is there some other explanation for your having failed to notice that Obama has accomplished virtually everything he has gone after since being inaugurated?

the haters of Obama will never let go since they are too busy pinning labels on him! That commie, socialist Marxist and now Nobel Peace Prize winner son of a gun! Who does he think is he is?

Michael Steele the head of the GOP has already blasted Obama for winning this award and you would expect he would have some grace and dignity having OUR President winning this award. Instead he questions the Nobel committee on why they would choose Obama.
I have a better question for Steele. Why did they choose you to lead the GOP? It wasn't because you were a rabid conservative but probably because you weren't white!

Yeah I think I have one lying around here somewhere. Maybe I'll find it when I clean out the study closet. WTF? I heard he was even pretty shocked to have won it. Strange days.

In what reality do you live? He didn't accomplish hardly anything he promised since being inaugurated.
