His program-length "Special Comment" show tonight was extraordinarily moving. By the time he got to the story about his childhood friend, Mike, whose daughter has been in the ICU for the past three weeks, suffering from Lyme disease, and who now has to sell his farm to pay for her continued care, I couldn't hold back the tears. As a nation, we ought to be ashamed of ourselves that we allow this to happen. If there is a higher being, may they bless Keith Olbermann for how hard he's fighting for all of us to be on an equal footing regarding the value of our very lives.

I watched it... and it was powerful stuff. I'm afraid though that the very few of those that are against reforms Olbermann saw it. I read in the Mercury News that Tivo monitored every second a group of volunteers based on political party watched TV, and not one... not one Republican watched Olbermann. Here's one of the hits when I googled Tivo Olbermann Republican: TiVo Examines TV Viewership Behavior Based on Political Party Affiliation
So, I'm afraid that Keith was preaching to the chior. Maybe some blue dogs are rethinking their position. I don't know...
And, not one watched Olbermann? Even I watch Fox every once in awhile...

Honestly? I don't care if the average Joe Republican watched it. I want this nation's legislators to watch it. We already know that an overwhelming majority of Americans want health care reform, and a substantial majority want it to include a public option. It's damn time the suits we send to Washington to represent us, pay attention to what we're saying and actually do something about it.
Sorry for his friend's daughter, but can't say I'm a big fan of Olbermann.
Your side is constantly imploring us to watch Glenn Beck. So we do, and we comment based on first-hand observation. How about you pay us the same courtesy and watch the links I provided for your convenience. You don't even have to pay for cable to do so.

Point taken... the ones with the votes are the ones that matter here.
I'm not usually a fan of TV commentators, but he's making an excellent case for health reform. When he's good he really is good.
