Rush Limbaugh: I love to ‘yank media’s chain’ - TODAY People
“My objective is to satisfy [my] audience so they come back the next day,” Limbaugh told TODAY national correspondent Jamie Gangel in a wide-ranging, three-hour interview, excerpts of which air on TODAY Monday and Tuesday.
Indeed, while Limbaugh is first and foremost — he says solely — an entertainer who keeps listeners tuned in, his brand of liberal-baiting, on-air politics has made him a lightning rod.
Who? Where? When? I've never heard anyone but the Left claim otherwise. Of course, they do it for the express purpose of targeting him as the "leader" of the GOP, which fails every time.

Just yesterday I mentioned that Beck and Limbaugh are entertainers, and someone was insulted by that. The poster (not you) did not accept the fact that they are entertainers, but insisted they are here not to entertain, but to deliver "pure truth" (the posters exact words). Well, now Limbaugh himself said he is an entertainer who will say whatever he thinks will get his audience to come back the next day. Case closed.
I agree with Burdell: Limbaugh is "Yanker", a yank and a wanker at the same time, aka "the great American wanker".
But I also admit that he is very successful at what he does, and I got no beef with that. Good for him.

Not quite, he is a bit more complex than your dismissive statement above. I guess you would need to sit through the interview to know that.
