It is also a fact that GSE-reform had been in the works for years and that a bipartisan bill addressing all relevant safety and soundness matters had been voted out in the Senate and all but completed in the House in 2003. But the administration torpedoed those efforts by demanding that provisions to shrink GSE ability to function in then current markets be added. If you're going to profess to be engaging in history, try telling the whole story.
For years, the democrats in congress forced lenders to accept those applicants that would not otherwise qualify for a mortgage. This is the mother of all affirmative actions examples. Frank, Waters and other race-baiting democrats accused banks of racism for not lending to such fine, upstanding citizens. No job, no problem. No credit, no problem. No down payment, no problem,. No income. no problem.

We are now reaping the results of what the democrats have sown.

About healthcare and health insurance "obscene" profits?

Well probably because he knows that 1. Most are too stupid to not to believe him and 2. because he knows most people already don't want his gubmint takeover and if the truth were to be known, he would never get it passed.

2% profits they call obscene but all the medicare fraud is OK.

FACT CHECK: Health insurer profits not so fat - Yahoo! News
