To chase employers out of the country.

One independent analysis predicts we will lose 2 million jobs. Even the GAO warned that cap and tax climate scam bill will result in great economic pain for little environmental gain. The GAO said that climate scam legislation will make American companies less able to compete internationally and dirve American jobs overseas that do not limit bs greenhouse gas emissions. This would increase international emissions enough to overwhelm any reductions made in the US.

I don't know about you, but that definitely sounds like a way to spur economic growth in our country. Don't ya think?

Way to go Barry, try your 7 iron on this one.

One person's opinion. There are some very credilble opposing views in the comments section, including this one from someone called 'okapia' who also cites an article from the WSJ:

"According to the Center for American Progress, investments in a clean-energy economy will generate major employment benefits for Virginia and the rest of the U.S. economy. Virginia could see a net increase of about $3.9 billion in investment revenue and 45,000 jobs based on its share of a total of $150 billion in clean-energy investments annually across the country. "
