If your platform is "Family Values" then when you get caught with your pants down, then you must accept the title of hypocrite.
The bottom line is that people are people. Neither party is exclusive to "Family Values." Although only the GOP is stupid enough to adopt this rhetoric as their stance.
Of course Democrats have moral standards, they just dont insult voters by sucking up to those who themselves want to feel holier-than-thou.
Um, I hate to point out that this thread indeed was started to insult the Republicans by calling them hypocrites and not ONE individual has pointed out the hypocracy.

Gay sex is either not an indicator of family values or it is. Democrats seem to want it both ways, claim its family values when you do it, but then claim that its not family values when a Republican does it. You hypocrites.
And the hypocritical part is? Did this man oppose gay sex or something?
Here's the "hypocritical" part: the fact that the religious right/neo-cons pose as moral compasses and put themselves on the "we have the inventory on morality" pedestool. That's the problem and the hypocritical part.
Next time, the neo-cons and the self-righteous "right" needs to shut up and quit crowing about how "moral" and "family values" they are and just live their lives and let everyone else live their lives without trying to legislate THEIR morality on everyone else. I, for one, have no interest in the morality of the religious and hypocritcal right.

So now your claiming that having gay sex is immoral? When did that change because it wasnt too long ago liberals were shouting all over the place asking for their "rights" to have gay sex and get married, and denying them right was what was immoral. Now liberals are claiming that partaking in that "right" is also immoral?

I don't think that anyone is arguing straight sex or gay sex, it's the fact that the neo-cons can't shut up about either and they think that they need to legislate their morality to other people, yet they do exactly the opposite of what they preach and then get caught. I don't know anyone more obsessed with sex than the religious right and the neo-cons. They're so mental about it 24/7.

I really dont get why all is taking a stance and trying to help this country? How come family values or taking a stance is a bad thing?
Maybe if more took a stance we wouldnt have so many of our children facing criminal charges, sitting kids on fire, gang raping girls and watching it happen.
We are seeing what the slide of family values is doing and its not good.

Has THIS man ever proposed legislation to regulate gay sex? NO ONE has put out ONE bill that says he has.
When has THIS man ever preached about the morality of gay sex using family values as the argument?
If you criticize him without pointing out where HE HAS proposed regulations or preached about the morality of gays having sex, it indeed makes YOU the hypocrite for criticizing the man for the very same things liberals support using the family values and moraility arguments.
What has HE done to be a hypocrite? I'm also a Republican, but you wont for a second find me preaching about the virtues of religion, I'm agnostic. The lumping of all Republicans together for what appears to be nothing but a feel good, liberal attack fest using no facts other than "Republican having gay sex" might be amusing for you "pro gay" supporters, but indeed it makes you the hypocrites unless you can point out where THIS MAN has legislated or criticized "gays".
Six pages in and not one person has pointed out HIS hypocracy.. WAS HE ANTI GAY?
also should add Chris Ortloff, "former [NY State] 20-year Assembly Republican" "known as an outspoken proponent of tough penalties for sex abusers and... a reputation for firmness on the parole board," arrested in 2008.
