She's not a moderate. She's really a democrat.

Pro abortion, gay marriage, stimulus, card check, unions, endorsed by DKos, Working Families Party (ACORN), Planned Parenthood.

The conservative party was not fooled.

She has thrown her support to Owens now.

It almost looks like the plot to get the democrat elected worked.

No, they are not crazed radicals. They are called libertarians. There is no place for them in the GOP either unless they kiss the ring of the religious right and neocon warmongers--the treatment Ron Paul recieved proved that beyond a doubt.

Anyone who is opposed to the separation of church and state and claims to be for "less intrusion" is a liar. Anyone who supports militarism and claims to be for "less government" or "lower taxes" is a damned liar. That's basically the entire GOP today, which is why its popularity has dropped below that of swine flu.

The modern day GOP has removed all traces of liberalism from their party. The party now consists of extreme right wing conservatives, conservatives, and the moderates which are gasping for breath as conservatives are set up to challenge them in the primaries.

Watch out, Mr Crist in Florida - you're next.
We got rid of Mike DeWine in Ohio a few years ago for the reason he behaved like a Democrat. Of course, sadly, he was replaced with a Democrat (Sherrod Brown) as there was no Republican running for his seat, as far as I can remember. People just wanted to make an example of him, but Brown is probably worse.

She isn't a moderate. She is a liberal. She ran as a Republican because she is opportunistic. I am glad the phony dropped out.

God forbid you guys have some folks who actually are capable of winning an election in a swing state. Why would you want that?

hate to break it to you, but you're a libertarian.

  • John McCain

  • (former Republican) Arlan Spcetor
Those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head, but I know I missed a few.

The liberal Republicans are the ones screwing the party up and costing us elections.

Conservatives win elections. If we had had a real conservative running in '08, we wouldn't be stuck with this idiot Marxist that is destroying our economy, and our entire Republic.

John McCain is not a liberal Republican nor is Graham. John McCain swung hard to the right in 2008, which hurt as did the pick of the hard right Republican Palin. The John McCain circa of 2000 would have still lost, but it would not have been the 7 point margin it was last year. The GOP lost last year because Obama won moderates 60-39. Obama didn't win moderates by 21 points because McCain wasn't conservative enough.

Vovoinovich is not a liberal Republican. I will perhaps suggest Snowe is fairly liberal in some aspects (though would say she is moderate) but she represents MAINE. She is an old school Rockefeller type Republican the only kind that can get elected in the state. As far as Specter, in Pennsylvania you need to be competitive in suburban Philly to win statewide. The more conservative Republicans simply can't perform well enough in suburban Philly to win statewide as evident in the last several elections in the state.
