Surely in this day & age one knows that one does not need to physically have sex in order to impregnate or become impregnated? Surely people aren't that ignorant.
So they will still say it's an unnatural form of sex and therefore shouldn't be practiced.
Aside from marriage(which I firmly believe needs to be taken out of civil law)I can't think of any conceivable 'ban' that could possibly be applied to gays. People are not against gays. This is about marriage.
This is it for me. In my opinion, the problem is with using the word marriage.
I agree with absolutely everything my friends that are for the change want
- equal rights to property, benefits, tax benefits, custody, inheritance
except that I don't agree that the definition of the word marriage has to be chnaged to accomplish this. Marriage has a social and cultural definition. Same-Sex marriage propanants want to change the definition of a cultural institution. And yes, someone of my opinion comes from my religous and cultural background.I struggle internally whether I am correct on this issue of not.
I in no way think Gay people are evil or bad or the devil or crazy. I have a few gay friends. I have been to their homes, they have been to mine, if they were to have a commitment ceremony I'd attend and bring a present. ;-) I have a problem with people that paint everyone that disagrees over this issue as a bigot or hatefull.
I would never have sex in the anus. I know of gay and straight people that are the same way. They avoid the anus like the plague. But I have heard of straight couples doing it in the butt. Ew.
There used to be a lot of strong objection to black and white couples marrying. I bet if that issue had been put to a vote of the people in the states, it too, like gay marriage, would have been voted down just as often. But today hardly anyone wants to go back to banning inter racial marriages.
Homosexuals are not born - they are taught, either through instruction or by experiences from others.

homosexuality and bisexuality are not caused by the way a child was reared by his or her parents, or by having a sexual experience with someone of the same sex when the person was young. Also, being homosexual or bisexual does not mean the person is mentally ill or abnormal in some way,
