About an hour's drive from Lexington, Ky., is the Daniel Boone National Forest -- 700,000 acres of raw, rugged nature.

It was here last month that the body of Bill Sparkman, a part-time census worker, was found bound and gagged and hanging from a tree. The word "Fed" was scrawled across his chest.

Interesting tidbit. That could possibly make it drug related and not like what they were saying months ago..partisan based.

Being a census worker he could have easily stumbled on a "big stash" and was "made quiet".

I had done some googling on him to see what eventually came of it and found nothing. Thanks for this post. Drug related sounds very, very plausible.

The Huffpost has an article on the guy..now they think it may have been suicide.

This story actually made it onto Aussie news last night.

It was interesting to say the least, even more interesting that it has managed to wind up in the news bulletin here.

Yep....and everyone knows it, despite the obvious futility and infinite duration of their nobel cause.

In the 80's it was "Just say NO"
NOW.....it's "Just say NO WAY!"

Keeps a LOT of people within the govt. securely employed and the jails full.

A LOT of people DEPEND on the continuation of the status quo:
Namely........all the criminal defense lawyers who are rakin in BIG bucks, police, judges, politicians, bail bondsmen, paralegals, correctional guards, border agents, DEA, and Homeland Security...... AHHH, and all the bennies that go with search and seizure laws!

Hell, between bank-owned houses and those seized by police, in the drug war......my guess is the govt. is sitting pretty.
Auction off that old crack house for a low, low $199/month and Zero Down!
Call ACORN.......if nothing else! Housing must be available in nearly every neighborhood.

In the meantime, a lot of drug dealers and gangs enjoy the enormous profit margins associated with the business and are always willing to assume the risk to ensure THEIR business thrives in the global economy of the drug trade.
The business......of corruption.
