A criminal, Robert Cockerline, who wore a swastika badge to a court appearance was told by a judge that he would have been "the first person" the Nazis would have sent to the gas chambers.

Judge Roger Thorn lambasted Cockerline, 42, after hearing how he was often seen around Hull with the offending badge pinned to his beanie hat.

What a maroon judge.
Does he not know that the Nazis wore the swastikas?

I'm glad I don't live in the UK.

First I hear about how they arrested a woman for objecting to a gay pride parade.

Now this.... a judge gives him an indirect death threat and orders his property destroyed, even though it is not illegal.

While I detest the Nazi symbol, I detest the complete lack of freedom of speech and expression in the UK even more.

The judge knew that.......

A barrister who was in court to see the confrontation said: “We could not believe it when the judge said 'Being a druggie and a weirdo, you would have been the first person that the Germans would have gassed'".
“But he is right, of course. Every generation should be taught the full meaning of the symbols and of the horrors of the Holocaust.

The Brits have such a history with Nazi Germany that comments like the judge's can be forgiven.
Like Huckleberry said, the Nazis had very little use for criminals and he would at the very least have been interned.

What's your objection to the judge's comment? It's true, after all; the Nazis didn't tolerate lawbreakers. It's good for idiots to learn something new. Maybe this idiot has a better understanding now of his badge.

The judge was just telling this man that he was the type of person that Nazis would send to a concentration camp, so why the hell are you wearing a swastika. I imagine that most skinheads and neo-nazis today would not have been liked by the original nazis.

Geez read the article

Judge Thorn, himself wearing a traditional poppy, told him: “You’re in enough trouble. It's a disgrace you were wearing a swastika badge on your hat at this time of Remembrance.
“Ironically, being a druggie and a weirdo, you would have been the first person that the Germans would have gassed!"
