WAXHAW, N.C., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Parents and teachers at a North Carolina school are protesting a history lesson that involved African-American students pretending to be slaves.

Teachers at Rea View Elementary in Waxhaw said they are planning to write leaders at the Latta Plantation about a lesson during a Wednesday field trip that involved an African-American tour guide instructing black students
to pretend to be slaves while their white classmates looked on, WSOC-TV, Charlotte, reported Friday.

As long as they place the blame where the blame is due: the African American tour guide.

That's inappropriate to say the least.

I smell a lawsuit, or at least a firing.

Its kinda funny when you look at it objectively, then you realize this was at a freaking school. Fire all involved, I say. (Granted, Teachers Unions prevent that).

And White people, since I'm sure there are some Whites somewhere who are responsible and need to apologize for the African-American tour guide's actions. That's generally how it works these days.

Funny how no one is mentioning on the tour guide, could it be because he's black?

If a school wanted a real good lesson on slavery they should have a "white slave day" where all the white kids are forced to wear ankle chains and sent outside to pick cotton placed on the playground while the black kids stand over them and deride them while snapping whips. Of course we would not be able to go all the way with whippings, rapes and seeing your family sold off to another black family to be carted away never to be seen again. But they would get the idea.
