He should but he will not. Look how fast he jumped up to defend the muslim population after the terrorist attack on our soldiers. In fact it will be interesting to see if this incident is even reported in the news.
I can see it now: "One thing is for certain, the woman acted stupidly by getting in the way of Professor JackAss' fist."
it was wrong for him to make a statement in the first case the way he did. He rushed to judgement of the police officer before an investigation could be concluded. It would also be wrong for him to make a statement in this case as well but that won't be why he won't make a statement. In the first case, he rushed to judgement based upon his own personal views and personal relationship with the professor. He's never publicly applogized for his insulting statements. He won't make a statement in this case because it's a black man who is the attacker this time. In this case, the press won't ask him a question on the subject and he won't bring it up in public.
Another tin plated dictator professor loses it when he gets his views challenged. They get so used to pushing students around who have to agree with them or being around their fellow educators who only think like they do that their debating skills atrophy and their objectivity withers. Put a few drinks in them, question their opinions and their egos explode. Treat them like anybody else and they become enraged children.
I believe many blacks feel as though physical assault and battery is justified if a white person says anything to them that they consider racially insensitive.
Personally?
This was a racially charged incident that happened at Obama's alma mater. The event that involved a friend of his at Harvard warranted a beer at the Whitehouse.
Here you have a black professor punching a white woman over a race induced debate. I believe the President now has an obligation to address this issue as a precedent was set with the beer at the Whitehouse.
Why?
Why should he address every single issue that you want him to?
Why would have get involved in every single racial incident?
If you didn't expect the same from Bush, it's all racially motivated on your part.
Ooooh, we have a black president, he speaks for all blacks.
Racism is ugly.
