I always expect shizzles to say something smart like this. It deserves a rep.

Racism IS a problem in America. All the right wing appeasement of it "in the name of freedom" or ignoring of it because it most often tends to be people of that wing openly engaging in it doesnt change that.

The fact that most nonwhites in America identify as LEFT wing and most white males, and whites who live in historically homogenious or anti-tolerant areas, identify as RIGHT, kinda speaks for itself.

Who do you believe when you see a case of a wife beater? The wife, the kids and the neighbor who say the husbands beating the wife, or the husband who says shes making it up to start trouble, or "she made him do it"?

Wrong, wrong...oh, and wrong. The overwhelming majority of black Americans are against gay marriage and are pro-life. They vote dem, but have very strong conservative leanings; I thought this was common knowledge.

And what exactly is an "anti-tolerant" area? Wouldn't the Castro district or West Hollywood fall under that banner? Trying going there with a Palin '12 bumper sticker and see how "tolerant" the residents are.

Where do you get your info, I think thats the problem.

Only roughly 50% of African Americans oppose gay marriage. In California, 70% opposed it (yet 30% supported it...hardly an 'overwhelming majority' when 1/3 did not want the ban), but nationally the pro-anti gay split is roughly the same across racial lines.

The US antebellum south, you know the place that lynched thousands of blacks, gays, and dozens of civil rights activists...seriously man, this is not new news. Are you daring to compare the lynching of people because they were a different skin color to people giving others a hard time because they backed Palin? Reallly??

Lastly, you replied to a statement with an unrelated topical answer. The point of issue here was that the civil rights movement was supported and enacted by Liberal Republicans and Democrats and opposed by Conservative members of both parties (who wanted to 'conserve' the old racial categorizations and regulations).

Dude, did you look up any of MLK's writings? Here, I will help you out, there was conservative movement by Nixon called the Southern Strategy to attack things associated with 'left' and 'liberalism', specifically blacks, hippies, feminist, antiwar protesters and young people. Heres a quick wiki link- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

Read up on it, and then please try to explain again what you are claiming, because its making less and less sense. You cannot ignore history simply because it speaks badly for your side of things. Thats one of the few things the democrats managed to figure out to garner minority support (even if it is wasted and not predicated on real action).

Wow, Michael Steele was the best that the GOP could do in response to Obama as President? The GOP truly has a LONG way to go.

If the Republican party was less polarizing maybe more Blacks would be willing to vote Republican. There are MANY conservative Blacks who simply do not feel "welcome" in the Republican party. And while many will say "Who cares about the Black vote?" they must remember that it could only help the party.

common sense. i dont waste time with groups who want my vote, but make no effort to get it.

thats not acceptable to me.

Well the only conclusion I can come to is you and those like you only vote for who smoozes you (azz kissing) instead of the issues? No wonder this country is in such dire straights.

it is true, the gop could get blacks if they put more effort into it.

i actually think blacks are way more conservative then whites, at least socially.

But ideas are interpreted by, filtered through, short-sighted selfish humans. That's the comedy and the tragedy.
