Hey, tb4000, I'm up for it, and some of the Mr.divas of the past have even said I'm a good kisser. The current (and always, I hope) Mr.diva is Chinese-American and he loves my white girl self, and I think for these purposes he would allow us to have at it orally, so to speak. Kinda like a sexy public service announcement. So, where do you want to meet, in the back of the school parking lot? Or would right by my locker work?
A Tennessee state trooper has been suspended for 15 days without pay and will be required to attend diversity training after he accidentally sent an e-mail proclaiming white pride to 787 state employees.
The e-mail from Trooper Brent Gobbell states, in part, "You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member ... you call him a racist." It also includes a list of racist epithets.
First of all we should all be proud of our cultural herritage. There is nothing racist about being aware of what makes you you.
The part of the story that is disturbing is the white victim tone to the story. The fact is there is more white on white crime than there is black on white crime.
If the black gang banger is a threat to your life or the life of the community and the tax payers are paying you to defend their community then you should do what your paid to do. If you roll around in your cop car thinking that you can murder someone without being able to justify that person as a threat then you have no business serving any community.
The racialist slurs that where described by the media, if true should be an embarassment to the state of tennessee. There is noway he is qualified to serve a diverse community as a cultural supremacist.
Incorrect. WE use the term Black and Proud....We express pride in our heritage without attempting to degrade other heritages or disparaging them. Not every Black person is proud to acknowledge BET due to the so called programming. Needless to say, that BET you will loose.

When whites express pride in their heritage, they are called racist. I have expressed pride in my Russian heritage-only to be called a Communist. I have also found that expressing pride in my German heritage is a big no-no-people will label me a Nazi!

The "pride" there is in telling others about it and in celebrating it. Whomever calls you a Nazi for talking about being German is an idiot (unless of course you are being racist when you do it! I don't know you so I don't know).

If a person doesn't think a cop who sends an email using racial epithets to describe minorities isn't racist, then it's likely that person is probably racist himself. Most racists don't think they are racist. They think what they say is normal. If you think that is normal and non-racist behavior, it's likely you are a racist.

Because "white" is not a culture. If you said Russian pride, no one would have a problem with it. Italians talk about "being Italian" . Irish talk about "Irish Pride" Greeks talk about Greeks etc.
White supremacists came up with the "white pride" as a cover for their terrorist acts. They got smart and instead of preaching violence, the KKK acted like a "white pride/white heritage" group to sound more acceptable

I agree with you. You should be very proud of your race.
Unfortunately White Power or White Pride has been hijacked by Racist, hate mongolers from here to the Caucasoid mountains. While Black American slaves were being made free the KKK started to harrass innocent Blacks to create fear. That fear still exist to this day. (Conservatives)
The problem with our country is that Blacks were made to think that they were mistakes from God. Ridiculed for being too Dark. Racist made fun of their noses, lips, dancing, singing etc. Blacks had to find other ways to express their love for their own race in churches, barbershops and other social events without fear of being killed for showing their pride. Finally in the late 60's and 70's Blacks showed their pride with raising a Black fist in the air. Not being Racist, but being proud of their race inspite of what Racist felt.
This police officer should be fired. How can you protect and serve your community when you hate all Blacks. To me that doesn't make sense!
Thats the problem with racist they consider all Black as a whole. A living organism that want to destroy the White race that will not ever happen.

White people haven't been oppressed? EVERY category of people, no matter race or creed, has been oppressed and exploited by another at one point or another at some point in history. Blacks do not have a corner on this.
So...what is "black pride" then? Do most AA's even know their ancestral roots? Do they know what country they originally came from? What tribe? If not...then the "pride" they're expressing is simply pride based on the color of their skin...which is simply skin color after all.
As the daughter of immigrants I know quite a bit of my background. No, I'm not a Nazi. I'm actually more proud of my Russian heritage because Russians are a very resilient lot and have been through some serious crap over the many years (a bloody revolution, two world wars, famine, Communism, we won't even get into what Stalin did to his own people...), and have endured and continued on, without complaining much.
