I wasnt sure where to post this question, but I figured it would cause some "controversy", so here it is!

Are blondes really "less intelligent" than brunettes, red heads, etc?

With all of the "blonde jokes" floating around, one has to wonder.

So are they or not?

Feel free to add your own "blonde joke" here as well.

I've been blonde, brunette and am currently a redhead. I've also had pink, blue, green, white, bright red, purple, black and multi colored hair on top of that.

As a blonde, I felt like more people looked at me than compared with being a brunette or redhead, which caused me to be a bit flirtier and social. Being extra flirty and social can cause many women to become a little vacant, I've seen it first hand with friends.

Now that I'm a redhead, I get the reputation of being a bit of a *****, which is okay with me

I could just cut and paste your post Jet, except that I am currently black with blue hair...

As a blonde though I agree more people did look, but I also found that people who didn't know me already, would speak to me more slowly and with easier words when I was a platinum blonde! It was actually pretty hilarious but after a few months of it, I was way over it.
In fact, the MOST hilarious experience with it was when I went off to college my freshman year as a platinum blonde, from a role I played in Summer stock show (the dumb blonde floozy character of course),I had life guarding all that Summer as well, so I was a super tan blonde chick with blue eyes....(pretty much a POLAR opposite of my real self)
The Rugby team wooed me constantly....I kept getting attention from guys named Chad, Biff, Chip etc. It was certainly a first!...after a few months as my tan faded and I went back to my usual black hair and pale gothy self...then they were confused!
needless to say the Rugby team didn't even talk to me after they decided that i was too "weird"
LOL!
It was terribly funny.

I don't think that blondes are more or less intelligent than any other hair color but i think everyone else EXPECTS them to be dingbats, and treats them as such... then some blondes decide it's nice to be given a 'pass' for a lot of things, it makes their lives easier. Other blondes become the opposite as well though too.

What is the mating call of a blond? I am sooooo drunk!

A brunette? All the blonds have left!

And the redhead? LAST CALL!

I have so many of these, I feel like I am in third grade again.

Q How does a blond turn on the lights after coitus?

Q Then, what does she say?

A Open the car door.

A Are you guys all on the same team?

No offense meant, just recalling the jokes of my youth, as they apply to this thread.

Since there are not that many true blondes it likely that it;s another color hair that is the culprit here.

A blond a brunette and a redhead are stranded on an island and find a magic lamp. A genie comes out and grants them 3 wishes, 1 each. The redhead wishes she was back in her nice house with her husband and family. *Poof* she is gone. the brunette wishes for a yacht filled with cash and jewels, it appears and she sails away. the blond, ponders a moment and says "I don't know what to wish for, I wish my friends were back to help!"
