Navy seals just doing their job are now on trial.
Navy SEALs Charged Over Alleged Abuse of Terrorist Mastermind – by Stephen Brown | FrontPage Magazine

This is a war, not a game. What is obama doing to back up these guys as commander in chief. This will really show what a ***** he is. We need to support our military and all they do to get up safe from terrorist.

This is a complete outrage. Those SEALS deserve a medal and everyone in the chain of command that is responsible for this outrage needs to be bounced out of the service. Crap like this also happened in the Bush administration too. It's a big problem in the armed services when you have paper pushing commanders second guessing the actions of the soldiers in the field for doing their job.

So, without knowing the facts you believe Obama should back the 3 and not the Navy's Judicial branch? Of which he's also CinC?

This isn't war, it's just another lame NeoConfused Obama bash, facts optional and discouraged.

While this is a duplicate post, I will answer the same:

Only one is being charged with assault, the other, lesser charges. But they decided to go to trial, rather then a nonjudicial resolution.
So they asked for the court-martial.

Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.

Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.

Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.

ZGACK, you are correct. This kind of crap happened under Bush as well. I hope that President Obama reverses that trend.

No, all over lying & covering up about it.

The assult wouldn't have added up to anything and most likley would have been dropped. It's the cover up that put them where they are now.

Looks to me like the Navy doesn't like its men lying. I guess that's fine with the NeoConfused? No surprise there. I suppose those who covered up Pat Tillman's death are heroes in your eyes?

Or perhaps you'd like to regale us with stories of all the successful military organizations in history without regulation and discipline?

If that's the case why is one SEAL being brought up on charges of assault?

Exactly! It's never a good idea to jump to conclusions without reviewing the facts.
