ObamaBush to say war is good for you and the anti-war crowd wasn't really thrown under the bus, because the Afghan war is noble and good. Don't forget, liberal tools, to pull the lever for "D" in 2010!

I actually agree that the Afghan War is a "good" war, or a justified war. And Im probably a lot further left than a lot of people here.

Absolutely agree.. what a difference a "D" makes..

I find it funny how organizations like Code Pink and others that were waving banners comparing Bush to Hitler for the Iraq War along with their "War is Never the Answer!" mantra being either silent or defending Obama on the esculation of troops in Afghanastan..

Seems the Anti-War Movement's intentions are all too obvious.. Republican in the White House = War.. Bad.. Democrat = War.. Good

Exclamation Lying About Afghanistan

Quote:
Tonight President Obama will announce his plan to send more troops to Afghanistan. That's probably a good thing, although, as in Iraq, what the troops do--are permitted to do--is more important than how many of them there are. But Obama's announcement will be greeted with dismay by most Democrats. Byron York (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/Obama-keeps-his-Afghan-promise_-but-Dems-crumble-8608879-78183117.html - broken link) notes that most Democrats want to reduce, not increase, troop levels in Afghanistan, and two-thirds of Democrats don't want any expansion of our effort there.

But during the 2008 campaign, nearly all leading Democrats said that Afghanistan was the "good war" which they would step up, once in office. Why the disjunction? Byron is blunt:
Tonight's "speech" (or is it going to be a "fireside chat," the tact taken by FDR way back when) is going to be interesting, to say the least. I will listen with both ears open, and attentive. At least it'll be a good photo-op for obamarama.
