I read all of your link and was sorry since it told me little that I didn't already know.
Is there a law that says we are not allowed to pick a day that we want for somebody so old? Is there a law that says that Popes picking December 25 to make conversion easier for pagans?
I think maybe you stepped in it Joe but the article is very interesting and does contain a lot of good information for those who don't know the part about Jesus.
Joe, did you see these words? "The Puritans understood this. It comes as a surprise to most Americans to learn that the Puritans once banned Christmas trees in many areas of the United States because they were considered so pagan." For some reason I have to take exception with the part about many areas of the United States. I could accept New England, though.
Would you like to see Christians celebrate Christ's birthday on July 4 so you could howl about that. None of those pagan people are still around so they won't be howling a lot about the day Christians selected to celebrate the birthday of their one and only hero. It is too simple for people to try to do what you tried to do here, but nice try anyway Joe.

Reason: Forgot to put in a cut and paste.
Anybody with half a brain knows that all the Christian holy days descend from Paganism. Just look at the Pagan celebration of Eostre that falls the same time of year as Easter does now. Paganism and Christianity became inseparable many centuries ago. Most Christian mythology derives from Pagan traditions - just look up the ancient myth of the virgin birth, every phase of "Jesus'" life, and then the crucifixion. Happened in numerous cultures thousands of years before Jesus.
(btw - his last name wasn't Christ, either).
Anybody who actually thinks the individual we call "Jesus" was born on Dec. 25 should not call themselves Christian, for they know nothing of their own faith.

Did you know that military chaplains aren't allowed to say the name, Jesus, these days. Look it up and you will find that some have been thrown out of the service for praying his name and using it.
Well maybe some Christians really don't know that but there is so much Pelosi thrown around all the time against them that they just refuse to believe anything else.
You should read Joe's article since it talks about Pagan gods by other names. That has to be since they were spread all over.

Isn't it so funny that the religion Christianity identify as "Satanic" (and burn Harry Potter books for) is the same religion that is base/mixed of all the Christian Holidays?
Yet, they don't even want to give Pagans any credit for the beautiful season. It is all about "christmas". The Lights, The beautiful feeling, The Yuletide Tree, Mistletoe, the gift giving-all thanks to the Pagans.

Well, a lot of chaplains were pushing their religion as fact rather than belief, and that is against the law in the military. If you can't play by the rules...
If you don't want people pushing back to defend their right to freedom and thought, then don't force your religion on them. In this country, there are many who have been deceived into thinking this country was built for their religion.
Quite the opposite, and patriots beholden to the vision of the Founding Fathers intend to keep it that way.

Merry Yuletide everyone. Thank you Pagans.
So long as people believe there is one true path or savior, they will rewrite history to suit their beliefs.
Thankfully, many are awakening from that horrific mindset that exists in all major religions and growing into a truly global vision of peace and unity that we celebrate this time of year.
