No! Really?

So we can now say that none of the "goals" set out by obama for HC "reform" will be met. It does not bend the cost curve, you will not be able to keep your doctor, you will be taxed to pay for those with no coverage, your HC premiums WILL go up.....need I say more?

The Associated Press: US health care tab to keep growing under overhaul

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Democrats trying to push President Barack Obama's health care overhaul plan through the Senate got a sober warning Friday that costs will keep going up and proposed Medicare savings may harm the program.

More troubling was the report's assessment that the Democrats' plan to squeeze Medicare for $493 billion over 10 years in savings relies on specific policy changes that "may be unrealistic" and could lead to cuts in services.

In still more bad news, the report starkly warned that a new long-term care insurance plan included in the legislation could "face a significant risk of failure" because it would attract people in poor health, leading to higher and higher premiums, and eventually triggering an "insurance death spiral."
These people, democrats and liberals who are crafting these bills, don't know their A**es from a hole in the ground.

Their ideas are just plain wrong, wrong, wrong.

If the Office of the Actuary says one thing, and the CBO says another, then American's on both sides of the aisle should pause to wonder why our government can't even get its numbers in concert with each other.

It should also clue the constituency into the fact that healthcare reform has morphed into a giant ego experiment, not an effort to reform the system. At this point, Democrats are throwing anything they can find at the wall in hopes that it will stick, all in the name of ego and history-making. Success at any cost is the mantra, or it will be a giant failure for this Administration, and that's all that's at stake here in their collective eyes.

This "reform" is not about us (American's), its about them (Congress).

Now, wait just a minute. Didn't candidate obama rail and demonize Big Pharma.....before he got in bed with them?

Pharma Deal Shuts Down Senate Health Care Debate

Quote:
The White House, aided by Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), is working hard to crush an amendment being pushed by Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.) to allow for the reimportation of pharmaceutical drugs from Canada, Senate sources tell the Huffington Post.
Quote:
So the White House and the drug makers are trying to persuade as many Democrats as they can to oppose the amendment despite their previous support for it.

Now wait a minute....Pelosi said there was $500 billion in "waste" in medicare/medicaid and she was going to use that for reform.

Why are we CUTTING benefits/services in medicare when, as Pelosi said, we can just "get rid of the waste" ?

article dated 9/2009 when she was pitching how to pay for this:
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/53845 (broken link)

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said today that Congress will pay for half of the $1 trillion health care reform bill that President Obama wants enacted by “squeezing” Medicare and Medicaid to wring out what she called “waste, fraud, abuse, redundancy, obsolescence and whatever it is.”
