You knew that he said comity as well as any of the rest of us. Yes, the US Senate is a very proud deliberative body but much more of this kind of activity will destroy that.

He has been in the Senate less time than any other member and the rules of the Senate call for the most junior member to serve as the presiding officer partly to keep him from interfering with debate. Franken proved that that is no longer the case.

Did Lieberman not ask for more time? Did he not gather up his papers after that childish Senator told him to get out? I think you people with the traitor talk about Lieberman are at least as bad as Franken. Lets see now. Didn't Lieberman run as an Independent and then ask to caucus with the children? He was elected, not as a Democrat but an Independent. He is being true to the people who elected him not what was once his party.

Is what you just suggested what made every Dem Senator vote for the Amnesty bill of McCain and Kennedy? I guess they all agreed about amnesty in 2006 and haven't changed their membership so much since that day. Dirty Harry said we must vote that way and all the other 43 jumped at the chance.

Lieberman should not be given time, he should be doing time, He's a lying, corrupted piece of dung that is on the take and lining his pockets at the expense of the American people. Go straight to hell Mr. Lieberman you are a very little, mean spirited, greedy person and deserve to be waterboarded.

Franken was rude.

If McCain was right about the general way an extra moment has been allowed, then we just saw Franken get rebuked as if his name was Dathan.

Not exactly. But he is being true to his contributers, the insuance lobby.
Hey, most people on the take would do the same thing if $500,000.00 were given to them.

oh the time thing? there was a strict 10 minute limit.

I guess you're defending the "traitor"?
and here we all thought you were a right winger. but oh, wait a minute, lieberman is a righty in disguise, isn't he? or is he? oh allright I get it now, joe's not left, he's not right, he's not center either, so what's joe? joe is for joe and the people who give him $$$$$.

Evidently some people have no problem defending a person who has taken $ 1/2 million to do their dirty-work.
