Well there you have it. The health of the populace certainly shouldn't come before the pocketbooks of casino owners. No sir!

I love smoking bans. It's wonderful being able to enjoy my meal, fly on a plane, or do business without the stench.

Smokers are, as a group, the least considerate folks I've ever see,

At 9.50 an hour you can afford to go to a casino?

Sorry Lamar, smoke eaters help, but no way do they eliminate smoke. No way. I'm betting you're a smoker and can't tell.

These all add to the costs of health care.
Adding to health care is one thing, potentially hurting someone else due to 2nd hand smoke is another.

Let me weigh in here:

In the interest of full disclosure here: I am a rabid anti smoker; that stated, banning smoking (if outdoors so non smokers are not affected) I do have a problem with. Why I say that is even from a health care point of view, if/when a smoker dies-----it usually costs the health care system a whole lot less (relatively quick death from cancer or heart disease) vs. someone living a full life expectancy and dying from Alzheimers, etc.

As far as I'm concerned, they can napalm all the tobacco fields in America.

Tobacco is the only product when used according to its instructions, will kill you.

That dont stop a smoker. It's called "addiction". But they dont have the right to pollute my air and that goes for all public places I may frequent.

Don't go in a the bar if they allow smoking, you have always had this freedom but instead of exercising your freedom to make that choice you want to take to take that freedom away from the owner of the establishment and those that may wish to indulge in smoking. No one is twisting you arm or holding a gun to your head forcing you into one these establishments.

We have businesses that cater to all types of people. Can anyone give me one good reason why I should not be able to open a bar that caters to smokers?

Smoking on Indian Reservations(casinos) in Wi is legal in Wi when the no smoking ban goes into effect July 5, 2010. So is smoking only bad(unhealthly) for the rest of the businesses in WI? As a business owner, it should be my choice and the customers choice. If I put a sign on the outside door saying"This is a Smoking Establishment", it's your choice to enter.

Since they say smoking will kill you, why isn't that product recalled. Like MANY on the market because it will harm or kill you in some way? It will become illegal for me to give someone matches by the way the law is written. I have to call the police on smokers if they smoke inside or I'm in trouble. Yes, a warning first from me but now I have to narc on my own customers to not get fined.
So on a busy night, I got to go searching out the smoke to save my @ss.
