Well I do wonder if our Congress men and women have any more pork left they'd like to attach.
Do these people ever run out of pet projects ?

He has to get as many of those people amnestied as he can because he thinks he will win their votes. I remember the amnesty law of 1986 and how all it accomplished was more and more illegals. I well remember the attempts in 2006 to pass another amnesty bill that they tried to sell as comprehensive immigration but it was just for amnesty. The Senate voted 77 for it and the rest against. All 44 Dems voted yes. We were saved that time by the House of Reps refusing to go along. Of course, back then Republicans controlled the House and now Nancy Pelosi will push it through the House, whether the people want it or not.

i held my nose when I voted for McCain but his veto is all I was voting for. I think he wil again support amnesty even though it will cost him re-election in Arizona.

2010 is too early for a bill. I think the talks will start. This will be a tough sell to both Congress and America and will take a long time to sway the sentiment. I don't think they can just shove it through by buying votes like the previous bills. This one is too lasting.

But I do think they are going to start early in preparation for 2012 elections.

Oh well. That's how all of us got here at one point, including my ancestors. People don't realize with this many immigrants being legalized there is a larger tax base which in turn means taxes wouldn't have to be raised as high. If Conservatives in here understood that, I'd guarantee they'd look past their xenophobia and be for this.

Sorry, you are wrong. Most people are Native Americans because they were born in the U.S. The rest of your post is also funny.

When you have no argument, you pull out the xeno card.

Of course, you also believe all the illegals and their relatives who will surely follow are skilled workers who will contribute to that extra tax base, right? Don't be naive, they're here to put their hands in the pot, and not to help fill it. Just where are those jobs these "skilled" workers will be getting?

This isn't the 1920's. "Native American" refers to Indians, as in the people who were here well before our ancestors.

The term "illegal alien" will no longer be allowed. Henceforth they will be referred to as "undocumented Democrats!

Sincerely,
