Should the U.S. levy a "tax" on every household with a TV (or radio) to fund public broadcasters?
In the U.K., this fee is $228 per annum / household, and by it they are able to broadcast nine TV channels and ten radio networks.
In Germany, the fee is about $300 per annum / household. In France, it is $150, and used to fund six TV channels and a number of radio stations

Are you seriously asking if people want their taxes raised. Your answer will almost always be, NO.

I think he's trying to ruffle the chickens -- trying to plant in their little minds that they're going to be taxed to pay for public broadcasting.

I'm up for a tax if it helps NPR/PBS regrow a pair. I'm sick of harmless, non-ruffling cooking shows.
More documentaries that afflict the pwerful!

This OP is trying to imply something that has no basis in fact. It's just to get you hating even further on PBS.
