It took 24 hours to get to Haiti, but 5 days to get to New Orleans. Sums up how inept Dubya really was.

Was Bush the mayor of New Orleans? Was Bush the governor of Louisiana? IIRC, both of these individuals were Democrats. Where were they?

See what happens when you don't have Nagin and Blanco in the mix?

There is no equivalence between Haiti and Katrina.

A more realistic comparison would be the response under Jindal's administration to hurricane Ike to that of Blanco's and Katrina.

Anything to paint "their guy" in a good light and to demonize Bush yet again. Didn't you get the memo? The horse is dead, no need to further continue kicking it.

He's referring to Bush's comments to Michael D. Brown, the first Undersecretary of Emergency Preparedness in the Department of Homeland Security. Wasn't particularly qualified and, being a brand new position, was unprepared for the Katrina disaster.

What were they doing in Louisiana? Did they even bother to try and do something? Blanco waited for days to ask the Feds for help.
